The Short Version

Your Excel/CSV file never leaves your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit your files. No storage anywhere. You can verify this yourself.

How It Works

ChatWithExcel processes your file entirely in your browser using SheetJS. The AI model runs locally via WebGPU. No file data is sent to any server.

What We Don't Collect

• Your Excel/CSV files
• The data content of your spreadsheets
• Your chat conversations
• Your API keys (stored only in localStorage)
• Personal information or user accounts

API Key Mode

If you use your own API key: key stored only in localStorage, API calls go directly from your browser to the provider. Only extracted text sent to the API you chose, directly from your browser.

How to Verify

Open DevTools (F12) > Network tab. Zero file-upload POST requests. Your data stays 100% in your browser.
